Premier Dalton McGuinty appointed the Ontario Research and Innovation Council to advise the Government of Ontario on the best way for building a more creative, innovative and prosperous province.

After two years of successful stakeholder engagement and consultation as well as the development of a solid foundation for the Ontario Innovation Agenda, the Council was dissolved.
