Hello and welcome to the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation website. I'm John Wilkinson, Ontario Minister of Research and Innovation. 

In my previous job, I was the Parliamentary Assistant to the province's first Minister of Research and Innovation, Premier Dalton McGuinty.

In that role, I worked under the Premier’s leadership on a number of key initiatives that are helping to keep Ontario on the leading edge of the knowledge economy.

In Ontario, we understand that research and innovation are crucial to our economic future and to the health and well being of Ontario families.

This province is home to some of the world's best and brightest scientists, researchers and innovators. And we are moving forward with the Ontario Innovation Strategy to capitalize on these strengths and create social and economic prosperity that will lead to better lives for all Ontarians.
