Greater Toronto Area

 

Youth from the Greater Toronto Area are attending RCI science lectures and meeting with the speakers.

The academy introduces high school students to research in industrial and institutional labs for six weeks in July and August.

Engineers working in a wide range of areas go into senior elementary and high school classrooms to bring real world experience to students.

Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute Science Outreach Program: Engaging Youth in Our Communities

Mount Sinai Hospital

Interactive in-school workshops will be brought to at-risk students in Grades 4 to 11, and six workshops at the institute will be offered to high school students.  The program will expand to include inner city schools.

Youth in Ottawa, Sudbury and rural communities will participate in experiential learning opportunities to inspire them for careers in science, engineering and technology.

Southwestern Ontario

Local First Nations communities and organizations and the University of Western Ontario will partner to hold two interactive summer camps for aboriginal youth focused on health science and natural science research activities.
