Senior Scientist at the Toronto General Research Institute and Ontario Cancer Institute, Dr. John Dick is a pioneer in cancer stem cell biology and his work has transformed the conventional view of the origin and nature of cancer, opened a new field of research and suggested new insights into antineoplastic therapy. Dr. Dick has written over 115 articles in leading journals and has been cited over 7,000 times. This award will support his work to understand the fundamental biology of the cancer stem cell offering the potential for great progress in cancer treatment.
