For Start-up Company with the Best Innovation
Tessonics Inc.
Tessonics produced the first portable hand-held spot weld analyzer replacing expensive and time-consuming “tear-down” tests traditionally used by automakers to test the over 4000 spot welds used to build the average new vehicle. Dr. Roman Maev (PRONOUNCE: MAY-EV) is the scientist behind the innovation creating Tessonics in 2005 in a joint venture with DaimlerChrysler and his physics research team at the University of Windsor. Tessonics is using its expertise in ultrasonic diagnostics to enter the biomedical field and is developing new inspection and imaging systems for other manufacturing and medical applications.
