ResearchersEarly Researcher Awards- Funding of up to $100,000 for promising, recently appointed Ontario researchers to help them build their research teams of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and research associates. MORE
The Health Technology Exchange – HTX.ca- Helps Ontario's scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs commercialize their ideas into innovative medical and assistive technology products. MORE
International Strategic Opportunities Program (ISOP)- Funding of up to $150,000 over three years, for new strategic international collaborations. MORE
Ontario Centres of Excellence- Bridging the gap between academia and industry, these centres bring universities, industry, and government together to help turn science and technology into successful business endeavours. MORE
Ontario Commercialization Investment Funds (OCIF)- Capital to invest in high-risk technology businesses, resulting from research at post-secondary institutions and research hospitals. MORE
Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund (OETF)- The Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund will co-invest — with qualified venture capital funds and other private investors — directly into companies working within the focus areas defined by Ontario’s Innovation Agenda. MORE
Ontario Innovation Agenda- Right now, somewhere in a lab in Windsor or Toronto, or Ottawa -- or in the many places in between – bright Ontarians are inventing our future. MORE
Ontario Institute for Cancer Research- An independent, not-for-profit organization bringing together multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional collaborations focusing on translating research findings into programs, technologies, and therapies. MORE
Ontario Research Commercialization Program- Grants ranging from $100,000 to $750,000 a year for up to three years, to help publicly funded Ontario research institutions and not-for-profit organizations transfer their research to the marketplace. MORE
Ontario Research Fund- Funding for project operating costs, such as researcher's salaries (through The Research Excellence Program and the Ontario Research Fund - Global Leadership Round in Genomics & Life Sciences (GL2 Competition) and for new research infrastructure, such as lab equipment (through the Research Infrastructure program). Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) Program- The Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) program provides outstanding scientists with two-year fellowships at Ontarios research institutions. MORE
Premier's Discovery Awards- Nominations are now due 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2009 for five awards ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 to showcase the individual achievements of Ontario's accomplished researchers. MORE
Premier’s Summit Award- Administered by MaRS, the Premier’s Summit Award provides research support to a small number of outstanding medical researchers, helping attract them to or retain them in Ontario and enabling them to significantly expand their research programs. The Award forms part of a cohesive innovation strategy that focuses on excellence in research and commercialization as cornerstones of the economic future of the province of Ontario. MORE
Regional Innovation Network Program- Regional development organizations supported by provincial funding to encourage partnerships among business, institutions, and local governments. MORE
Teachers Science and Technology Outreach Program- Opportunities for elementary and secondary school science teachers to work alongside leading scientists in Ontario's publicly-funded research institutions. MORE
Youth Science and Technology Outreach Program- Financial support of up to $150,000 over three years to help non-profit organizations connect youth with science and technology mentors. MORE
