Ontario Commercialization Investment Funds 

The Ministry of Research and Innovation will not be accepting applications from Ontario Commercialization Investment Funds for grants related to investments made after December 31, 2009.

The Government intends to phase-out the Ontario Commercialization Investment Fund (the “OCIF”) program one year early.  An amendment to the Community Small Business Investment Funds Act (Ontario) which, if passed, will change the final date on which a registered OCIF can make an eligible investment from December 31, 2010 to December 31, 2009.

Any new investment made between October 22, 2009 and December 31, 2009 will continue to be reviewed for compliance with the Act.
