Dalton McGuinty, premier ministre de l’Ontario et ministre de la Recherche et de l’Innovation, était à l’Université de Toronto le samedi 27 mai 2006, pour annoncer un financement de plus de 3,9 millions de dollars destiné au Programme de sensibilisation des jeunes aux sciences et à la technologie. Ce programme financera une trentaine de projets communautaires un peu partout dans la province, afin d’encourager les jeunes à poursuivre une carrière en science et technologie en leur offrant une expérience pratique auprès de quelques-uns des meilleurs scientifiques de la province.
